ACS&T announces expanded range of services at Food and Drink Expo: Stand Number: Hall 6, K158.

Thanks to all who visited our stand at the Food & Drink EXPO at the NEC in Birmingham between 6-9 April. It was good to see so many familiar faces and to meet new ones too. It was great to receive so many expressions of interest and best wishes for the future development of our new divisions.
The new services, which were launched at the Food & Drink EXPO, are provided by three new ACS&T divisions covering temperature controlled services, production support and co-packing.
“For many years ACS&T Logistics has provided a wide range of ancillary services to clients in addition to temperature controlled storage and transportation”, said Carl Robinson, Sales & Commercial Director of ACS&T. “These value added services have included production support such as supplier and inventory management, and a comprehensive range of specialist packing services”.

“These services have grown organically in response to demand from customers who value our high levels of expertise and efficiency, and in recent years their range has broadened substantially. We therefore believe that now is the right time to make these additional, value added services available to more customers. The restructuring of our business into three divisions, with a dedicated, new management team for each, will allow us to achieve this objective.”
Temperature Controlled (services by ACS&T) will continue to offer specialist temperature controlled food storage and distribution services for frozen, chilled, raw and finished product. Specialists in foodservice, they also provide: stock control, pallet consolidation, shared user distribution, blast freezing, tempering and manufacturing support.
Production Support (services by ACS&T) will expand its range of cost effective storage and JIT (just in time) delivery for ambient raw materials and packaging. They will work with suppliers to manage stock levels through vendor-managed inventory and deliver using a dedicated shuttle service. These services are designed to save administrative effort, storage space and allow manufacturers to focus on manufacturing.
Complete Packing (services by ACS&T) will provide an even wider range of co-packing services for frozen, chilled and ambient product. BRC certified, their specialist services range from hand packing to automated flow-wrapping. Dedicated clean room facilities, check weighing and product or packaging rectification can also be provided.
ACS&T Logistics began life as the London Ice & Cold Storage Company Ltd in 1921 and built the country’s first ever cold store for fish underneath Billingsgate Market. The business went on to open the country’s first low-temperature cold store, at Grimsby, in 1934. Today ACS&T’s services are provided from four centres: Grimsby (Headquarters) Wolverhampton, Tewkesbury and Scarborough. The business currently operates 14 cold stores, 2 ambient stores, extensive co-packing facilities and large, dedicated and shared-user multi-temp transport fleets.
