ACS&T expand fleet with £1M investment
September 28, 2011
We have recently invested over £1M in new fleet vehicles, to meet rising demand. The new vehicles will operate from our distribution centres across the UK and form part of our proactive on-going programme of investment.
Malcolm Johnstone, Managing Director of ACS&T, said:
“This investment is a combination of expansion and renewal in our need to meet customer demand. In recent months we have secured a series of new clients and negotiated new, extended contracts with several long term customers including Young’s Seafood and 3663"
The selection of these vehicles was undertaken against operating and financial criteria which will ensure the continuance of our high service levels to our customers. Over the next 6 months our investment programme will continue to expand our resources as we find customers’ business have grown in line with our service offering.”
Malcolm concluded…
“Due to on-going cost controls and the strength of the balance sheet these investments can be made from our cash reserves.”
We operate from four centres in Grimsby, Wolverhampton, Tewkesbury and Scarborough. Our extensive resources include 12 cold stores, 3 ambient stores, comprehensive co-packing facilities and large, dedicated and shared user multi-temp transport fleets.
Committed to delivering high quality service, and operating with integrity and a concern for the environment, we are accredited with the BRC Storage & Distribution certificate across all sites and temperature regimes in addition to the ISO9001 and 14001.
